In less than two hours after the completion of the second inaugural address of President Barack H. Obama on Monday, January, 21, 2013, Applewood Books was ready to distribute copies of its revised two-volume set of the Inaugural Addresses of the President of the United States, including yesterday's address. With the help of its long-time partner, Ingram Content Group, of LaVergne, Tennessee, Applewood prepared the book for print, uploaded it to the Ingram Content Group's Lightning Source, and made it instantly available through its network of retailers across the country and to individuals through its website.
Over the last few months, Applewood has made preparations to issue this revised set, including cover redesign, addition of contents pages, and a reconfiguration of the volumes to include more addresses in Volume I and account for future addresses in Volume II. The new classic design of the paperback editions, by Applewood designer Matt Todd, creates a Presidential feel by incorporating the book information into a gold-and-white circular seal that occupies the top two thirds of the presidential-blue front cover. The volume numbers of each are distinguished in blue on the gold center of the seal. The first and last President's addresses included in the volume are in white type around the center. On the bottom of each cover is a list of all the Presidents whose addresses are included in that volume and emblazoned on the top of Volume II: "Including Barack H. Obama's 2013 Address."
